About Boral Quarries Coldstream

The Boral Coldstream Quarry is located on the northern face of Bald Hill, positioned between the outer Melbourne suburb of Lilydale and township of Coldstream. With earliest operations commencing in 1902, the quarry has provided a source of hard rock aggregate used throughout Melbourne's east, south-east and CBD. Coldstream's toscanite rock resource is mainly used for crushed and exposed concrete products.

About the Opportunity

We currently have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a self-motivated and highly organised Weighbridge Operator to join the Coldstream Quarry team on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to provide site support including administration, order processing and allocations, weighbridge operation and purchasing when required

This role offers working days and hours of:

• Monday to Friday: 6.30am - 4pm
• Saturday: 6.30am - 12 noon

About the Role

Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Weighbridge operation including the ticketing of incoming and outgoing trucks
• Manage reception at the quarry office including meet and greet, site inductions, couriers and mail handling
• Allocations of trucks, product and customer orders
• Raising purchase orders, work orders, compiling spreadsheets and reports
• Purchasing, invoicing, and maintenance of all purchasing records including invoicing and order tracking
• Receive and inspect raw material deliveries
• Handle COD sales, prepare and process dockets

About You

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

• Strong administration experience
• Previous experience in weighbridge role preferred, however, not essential
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
• Advanced computer skills along with well-developed organisational skills
